CalorieSmart does not require registration, a username or a password. Your profiles, saved foods, meals, water, weight, goals and settings are stored in the app on your device.
AI and barcode tools
If you use an AI feature, your submitted text or image is sent over an encrypted connection through our AI service to Google Gemini to return a nutrition result. We do not link it to your identity, store it or use it to train models. An anonymous device code and daily AI request count are kept to manage usage. Barcode lookups use Open Food Facts.
No advertising trackers
CalorieSmart does not sell your data, run advertising trackers or build profiles about you. If you never use the optional online features, your tracking data stays on your device.
Deleting your data
The app does not copy your tracking entries to a server. You can delete logged history, a profile or all on-device data from Goals → Delete data. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Uninstalling the app also removes its locally stored data, so keep your own backup if needed.
Children and health
CalorieSmart is not directed at children under 13. Calorie, macro and fitness figures are estimates for general guidance, not medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes.
Subscription email and marketing
When you subscribe, your email and subscription status are used to activate Premium in the app. Promotional emails are only sent if you opted in, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Changes
If the app privacy policy changes, the updated version will appear in the app with a new date. For questions, contact us using the email above.
